Free Horse Racing Tips | Saturday’s Stats & Best Bets

It was another great day for the stats and best bets post again yesterday, as 16/1 (SP 14/1) shot MASTEROFDECEPTION won for trainer Dr Richard Newland, in the 8:10 Class 3 handicap at Aintree. So, it’s the same again today, as we try to find a few more winners in the evening card from Doncaster.

DONCASTER

6:15

Charlie Appleby has been in good form of late, with a 23% strike-rate over the last fortnight. He teams up with 3lb claimer Kevin Stott who takes the ride on Sound Reflection.
When teamed up this year, the combination boasts a 32% strike rate, with 6 wins from 19, and 3 wins from 9 on 4+ year olds.

SOUND REFLECTION – 7/2 888 Sport

7:15

Jockey Oisin Murphy has an excellent record at Doncaster, with a 30% strike rate (7 wins from 28 rides), and a LSP of +£36.88 (£1 stakes). He’s also been in good form over the last couple of weeks, with 5 wins in his last 23 rides (22% SR).

AUSSIE RULER – 6/1 Coral

8:45

Trainer Brian Meehan has a 25% strike rate over the last fortnight, with 3 wins from 12 runners. Meehan also has a good LSP at Doncaster over the last few years - +£22.00 (£1 stakes).

The trainer teams up with Jamie Spencer, who is another who has a good LSP at this course, +£34.07 (£1 stakes) over the same period, with an 18% strike-rate from 142 rides.

USTINOV – 8/1 Coral

Horse Racing UK | LOCKINGE STAKES

There’s plenty of racing to look forward to across the UK today, with action across 6 meetings including Newbury, and the feature race, the Group 1 AL SHAQAB LOCKINGE STAKES (British Champions Series).

If you’re not signed up to all the online bookmakers, check our FREE BETS PAGE, there’s loads of offers on this race, including Coral; 5/1 Night Of Thunder to be PLACED, or Sky Bet are offering an EXTRA place on each-way bets!

Richard Hannon took the prize last year, with Olympic Glory beating today’s Opponent Tullius. That was Hannon’s 3rd Lockinge in 5 years, and he heads into this year’s with current favourite Night Of Thunder, and last year’s Craven Stakes winner, Toormore.

Three of the last 4 winners in this race have been 4 year olds, and 5 of the last 7, with only Paco Boy and Farhh the exceptions, at 5 year old.

But, with this being the largest ever field for the Group 1 mile, you never know what’s going to happen. I expect Night Of Thunder (10/3)to be right up there in the mix, and has every chance of adding a second Group 1 success to his name, having won the Qipco 2000 Guineas Stakes last year, beating hugely talented, 6/4 favourite, Kingman, at 40/1. He’s run well in defeat since, with the 10f Coral Eclipse test an exception.

The other one I like in this race is Sir Michael Stoute-trained Integral (7/1), who was a little disappointing when last seen in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot in October, finishing 16 lengths off Charm Spirit, although that was in Heavy conditions, and she didn’t get a clear run with a furlong to go. These ground conditions will suit much better, and I’m expecting a strong run today, and a return to form.

Enjoy the racing, and I hope you grab a few winners today. Check back soon for more stats, tips and general chat on football and horse racing. Our racing stats and best bets found 16/1 winner MASTEROFDECEPTION yesterday, and 20/1 winner SIR DYLAN last week, amongst others, so get following!
