SATURDAY'S BEST DOUBLE & TREBLE AT BOTTOM OF POST

12:45         Sunderland v Liverpool      LIVERPOOL WIN #2-1 - 15/2

Liverpool are undefeated in the last 6 in all competitions - 4 wins and 2 draws, since losing 3-0 to United. Liverpool's away record in the league has been up and down, with 4 wins and 5 defeats in the 9 played. Sunderland only have 1 win in last 10 league games - the derby game which they beat Newcastle 1-0 away. They have drawn 6 of the last 10 games, and have drawn 6 of 10 home games in the league this season, and have failed to score more than once at home since beating Stoke 3-1 in October. Last league game against City was first time Sunderland had scored more than 1 in a game, since beating Palace 3-1 away (9 games) - failed to score in 4 of those 9. I can see Liverpool just edging this one, but I don't think it'll be comfortable for them.

15:00         Burnley v QPR                     BURNLEY WIN #1-0   -  7/1

It could get worse on the road for QPR as they travel to Burnley, and look to avoid a tenth straight league defeat away from home. QPR have scored just 4 goals and conceded 22 on their travels, and have failed to score in 5. Burnley haven't won in last 5 in all competitions, since beating Southampton at Turf Moor, and will see this as a big opportunity to end that, and grab a win. Their last 6 home games (all comps) have seen under 2.5 goals - under 1.5 goals in 3 of those 6. 9 of their 12 home games in all comps have seen under 2.5 goals - under 1.5 goals in 6 of those 12. Burnley have failed to score more than once in each of those 12 games.

15:00         Chelsea v Newcastle           CHELSEA WIN #3-1  -   12/1

Chelsea looking to extended the home record to 10 wins from 10. They've conceded just 3 goals in their 9 home league games this season, and will hope for a better defensive display than against Spurs at White Hart Lane. Newcastle have scored 6 goals in last 2 league games, and have scored in 6 of last 7 league games. But the Magpies have conceded 8 goals in their last 3 league games. Chelsea will want to forget last week’s derby defeat, and I think they'll see of manager-less Newcastle easy enough here.

15:00         Everton v Man City              CITY WIN #2-1     -       8/1

Everton have only lost 1 of last 6 league games at Goodison. They have lost their last 4 league games however, and conceded 9 goals, scoring just 2 in those 4 games (both goals came in defeat to Newcastle). The Toffees have also won just 1 of their last 8 league games. City, on the other hand, haven't lost in their last 13 games in all competitions; won 11, drawn 2. They have won their last 4 away league games - scoring 11 and conceding 2 - 2 clean sheets. City have the best away record in the league with 7 wins in 10 - 1 defeat, and average 2.4 goals a game. It might be close if Everton can get it together.

15:00         Leicester v Aston Villa         DRAW #1-1        -        6/1

Torn between 0-0 and 1-1 for this one, that seems the most likely outcome. Villa have only managed 4 goals in 10 away league games. Their defense has been tight of late, and although Leicester scored twice against Liverpool, they don't score too many at the moment. Villa have failed to score in 6 of 10 away league games, and only finding 1 goal in each of the other 4.

15:00         Swansea v West Ham          DRAW #1-1       -         13/2

West Ham have just 1 win in the last 6 games in all comps, when beating Leicester 2-0 at home. The Hammers last their last away league game to Chelsea, 2-0 - that's the first time they'd failed to score away from home in the league this season. Swansea home defense is amongst the best this season (conceded 7 in 10 home league games), with only Chelsea bettering them, but they have only managed 1 goal in each of their last 6 league games, and with Bony looking like heading to City, they'll need to sort it quickly. Swansea haven't failed to score in last 10 league games however, since drawing 0-0 away at Everton in November. Points shared for me.

15:00         West Brom v Hull            WEST BROM WIN #2-1    -     9/1

I've been over this one a few times now, and although I can see a draw deep down, I can see West Brom scoring twice, whereas Hull, I really can't see them scoring more than once, although they have against Everton and Sunderland in recent weeks. Berahino could be back to his best having netted four in the cup, albeit against weaker opposition. West Brom only have 1 win in last 7 home league games. Hull I can't work out at the moment, you just never know. Gone with 2-1 West Brom but could be anything here.

17:30         Crystal Palace v Tottenham  SPURS WIN #2-0   -   11/1

It’s difficult to predict when a new manager comes in, and how the team will react. Palace haven't won in the league for 8 games, since beating Liverpool 3-1 under Neil Warnock, and have just 1 win in last 14. They've failed to score in 5 of last 7 league games, and have only won 2 of 9 home games in the league - Leicester and Liverpool. Spurs are unbeaten in last 7 games in all comps - 5 wins and 2 draws. 7 of Spurs 9 away league games have seen over 2.5 goals - all of the last 6. Not kept a clean sheet away in the league since the opening game of the season against West Ham. But 'keeper in fine form, so every chance here.
